So no more Freddie Mac, and Fannie Mae huh?  FHA downpayment assistance programs gone bye bye!  Down payments needed on coventional loans.  The media says DOOM DOOM DOOM DOOM!  Let me ask you a question, do you still need a place to stay?  Hey I have one for you.  The people who unfortunately have lost their homes, do they still need a place to live?  The banks who have these repo's, do they still need to sell them or are they going to rent them out (I dont think so)?

Do not let the headlines, and the herd mentality kill your dreams or cloud your reality.  GREAT WEALTH WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED DURING THESE TIMES.  Will you get your piece of the pie?  Who is better off purchasing real estate, the folks purchasing now or the folks who purchased in 2005?  Well that is a loaded question, but in general if you bought a home in 2005 for $250,000 and you can get that same home today for $150,000 are you loosing?  You are especially not loosing when you know if you could have either afford or qualified, you would have purchased the home in 2005 for $250,000!

Take hold of your purpose for purchasing, your time frame for holding the property, and buy it correctly in a "down" market.  Realistically do you think odds are California real estate will crash or will it rise?  ALL DATA WE HAVE FROM PREVIOUS MARKETS SAYS IT WILL RISE.  It may take time, but IT WILL RISE.  Could the date be wrong this time?  Of course and I COULD live forever, but the trend and data says I wont.
